Saturn stationed retrograde at 9 degrees Capricorn on Wednesday, April 19, and will travel back to 2 degrees Capricorn until September 6. It is time to reassess your work life, career goals, long-term commitments, professional responsibilities, and if these parts of your life are in alignment with who you are and what you want to experience.
Saturn requires us to "do the work" and to put on our adult clothes as we show up in the world with maturity and personal ownership. No shortcuts and no crying - we have to take care of ourselves with little to no support from other people. This is how we see what we're made of, and what needs to be more fully developed.
In Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn, we need to say no to some things in order to fully commit to other areas of life. Capricorn is actually the marriage sign because it signifies the person you legally commit to for the long-term, and how that relationship changes your public status (husband, wife, married couple, etc.) This is a great analogy for the energy of Saturn retrograde - you can't marry everyone or everything in your life, so what can you fully and completely say YES to with integrity?
From now until September, we'll be reviewing work and professional world responsibilities. You may realize something is not a fit for you and you want another job. Or you may know you are doing your dream job and now you are reviewing how to do it better or how to improve your role, business, services, etc. Work is highlighted and gives you the opportunity to re-examine your personal fulfillment in this part of your life.
There is support for boundaries, long-term growth, practical financial matters, and building your dream business. When you show up to do the work, day in and day out, Saturn rewards you with recognition and accomplishment.
If you have planets or points between 2 and 9 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn, this energy will be working with you more personally. Saturn can feel heavy, slow, challenging, difficult, lonely, and emotionally cold... but also gives you strength, focus, discipline, and the fortitude to climb that mountain on your own.
The house that Saturn is traversing in your natal chart is where you are examining these parts of your life until September.
Saturn turns dreams into reality, so even if you feel discouraged or defeated at times, remember that Rome was not built in a day. And look at how it has stood the tests of time. Keep going - you've got this! <3
